Janie & Marty Bulmer, of Washago, are about to embark on a trek of a lifetime. They have entered the Yukon River Quest, which is a strenuous 740 km wilderness journey from
Whitehorse to Dawson City in a kayak. Nearly 80 teams from all over the world will embark on the 60 hour paddle from June 30th to July 4th. The Bulmers will be competing against four
other teams in the “mixed” kayak category. Janie & Marty held a ceremony, at their home to bless their kayak. Shaman Barb Gale and Medicine Man Ralph King, blessed the kayak and performed a “smudging” ceremony to help guide Janie & Marty on their trek. HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY you two!!
