Ashiko! A Festival to Drum Away Hunger
Internationally renowned percussionist MUHTADI, was the artistic director for this outdoor performance of 10 drumming groups, representing an array of world cultures. This was a spectacular FREE event, held at The Leacock Museum grounds. Visitors were only asked to bring a donation to The Sharing Place Food Bank. Hundreds of people were dancing to the beat of the drums or joining in on the drumming themselves. It was a truly wonderful afternoon! Make sure to look for this event this year and DON'T MISS IT!!
